Zaragoza
Travel information
Zaragoza is a very well communicated
city for those arriving to Madrid and Barcelona. We also have a small airport (http://www.zaragoza-airport.com/es/index.php) that receives low
cost flights from different Europeans locations.
By Train
High speed train (AVE) is the most
recommended way to arrive Zaragoza from Madrid or Barcelona. The travel is
approximately 1h30min.
By Bus
Buses are also available from Madrid
and Barcelona and are less expensive than train. There is a bus running
directly from the Madrid Airport-Terminal 4 (Barajas, Madrid) to Zaragoza
Delicias Station (http://www.alsa.es/). The same company also runs buses from Barcelona to
Zaragoza.
Location
For those staying in Zaragoza on Sunday we have organized an ice breaker in a local Tavern. This will give you the opportunity to meet people in advance and try local wine and cheese in a extraordinary atmosphere.
Scientific sessions will take place at the University of Zaragoza (Department of Earth Sciences-Building C in Plaza San Francisco Campus, A in location map). Workshops will take place in our new Natural History Museum located in the Paraninfo building B in Location Map) from the University of Zaragoza at Plaza San Basilio Paraiso.

Accommodation
Zaragoza has plenty of hotels from different prices. A good option considering its prize and location is Hotel Romareda [double room should cost about 50 Euros (breakfast not included)], just 10 minutes walk from where the scientific sessions were held and good tram connections to the downtown.
